ABOUT US

Our story begins with Louis Fontana, the patriarch of our family engineering and land surveying business. Louis's journey in this field started with his education at the Colorado School of Mines and Montana Tech, later earning his Montana Professional Engineer and Professional Land Surveyor license 2376ES, Louis dedicated 47 years to public service, serving as the city engineer for Great Falls for 25 years and later as the county engineer for 22 years. In 1998, Louis and his daughter Rina embarked on a new venture, founding Fontana and Moore Land Surveying, where they worked together until Louis's retirement in 2019.


Rina Fontana Moore, with her degree from Northern Montana College in 1987, brought her expertise to the family business. With a bachelor's degree in construction technology and a focus on surveying and earned her Montana Professional Land Surveyor license 9522LS. Her dedication to public service saw her elected as Clerk & Recorder/Auditor/County Surveyor in 2006, a position she held until 2022.


Matt Moore, the next generation in our family legacy, pursued his education at Montana Tech, earning a bachelor’s degree in general engineering in 2009 and earned his Montana Professional Engineer license 39024PE, Matt furthered his knowledge with an MBA from Western Governors University in 2020. Currently, he's working towards his land surveying license, ensuring the continuation of our family's commitment to excellence.
In 2021, Rina and Matt joined forces to establish Moore Engineering and Land Surveying, preserving the legacy of expertise, integrity, and dedication that has defined our family business for generations.
